On July 1st 1961 Lindenmann accessories is founded by Karl Lindenmann and his son Karl Heinz Lindenmann. The learned merchants specialize in the distribution of men’s jewellery in the “gold town” Pforzheim famous for its jewellery industry around the world. The clients are the major men’s wear shops in Germany and abroad.
Due to the increasing demand soon a move from Luisenstrasse into new bigger premises in Pforzheim’s Kronprinzenstrasse has become necessary.
The brand “Georges Chabrolle” is established. The name stands for classical elegance and timeless design.
The Jeans fashion comes up and lets break down the demand for cufflinks and tie bars rapidly. Karl Heinz Lindenmann decides to take the new product line leather belts with own production into the portfolio of Lindenmann accessories.
The product portfolio is expanded by the production and distribution of braces.
Karl Heinz Lindenmann’s sons Klaus and Volker enter the company. The 3rd generation of the family-run enterprise starts the modernization of the company with big impulse.
The subsidiary Lindenmann Espana S.L. is founded and the brand Taranto is launched which stands for young and fancy design for the young and young at heart men.
A new ERP system is introduced. From now on clients can place their orders by EDI. Hence the step to a more intense customers relationship is taken.
Lindenmann moves into new premises in Pforzheim’s Lochaeckerstrasse. The old 3-level building in Kronprinzenstrasse has become too small. Lindenmann accessories acquires the licence for Pierre Cardin belts. In July the first collection is introduced to the market. A new milestone for the further expansion of the company is set.
