About us

LINDENMANN – since 1961 a family business with more than 60 years of success from Pforzheim

1961

Lindenmann is founded on 01.07.1961 by Karl Lindenmann and his son Karl Heinz Lindenmann. The trained businessmen specialise in the sale of men’s jewellery in the gold town of Pforzheim. To date, their customers include all men’s outfitters throughout Germany.

1965

Due to increasing demand, a move from the cramped premises in Luisenstraße to a new building in Kronprinzenstraße becomes necessary.

1968

The George Chabrolle brand is introduced to the market. The name stands for classic elegance and timeless design.

1972

Jeans fashion comes along and causes the demand for cufflinks and tie bars to drop rapidly. As a result, Karl Heinz Lindenmann decides to add leather belts to the range and produce them himself.

1979

The product portfolio is expanded. The production and distribution of braces is started.

1996

Sons Volker and Klaus Lindenmann join the company. The 3rd generation of the owner-managed company moves forward with great drive to modernise the company.

1998

A new ERP system is introduced at Lindenmann. From now on, customers can place their orders via EDI. This is the first step towards a more intensive customer partnership.

Foundation of the subsidiary Karl Heinz Lindenmann Espana S.L.

2010

Lindenmann moves into new business premises in Lochäckerstraße in Pforzheim. The 3-storey building in Kronprinzenstraße became too small.

Lindenmann acquires the licence for Pierre Cardin belts. The first collection is launched in July. Another milestone for the expansion was set.

2014

Expansion of the business premises in Lochäckerstrasse in Pforzheim in the warehouse and logistics area in order to continue to meet customer requirements in the future.

2017

The building in Lochäckerstrasse is equipped with a photovoltaic system on the hall roof. A big step towards more sustainability and environmental protection. Lindenmann produces more environmentally friendly electricity than it needs itself.

2019

Relaunch of the Lindenmann website. The internet presence is completely redeveloped and now offers a contemporary B2B shop and a field service connection.

2020

Lindenmann takes account of the trend towards sustainably produced products. We meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly, high-quality and durable products through new alliances with selected tanneries that are certified for leather processing with natural tanning agents without chemicals.
There, HANDCRAFT is traditionally written in capital letters: this is how the “HANDCRAFTED SELECTION” came into being.

2021

Lindenmann switches to electric mobility. Half of the vehicles are now powered exclusively by electricity. Another step towards preserving an environment worth living in.
